MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO REIMBURSE COUNTIES FOR HOUSING JUVENILE OFFENDERS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million two hundred sixty thousand one hundred twenty-eight dollars ($2,260,128) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to reimburse counties for housing juvenile offenders pursuant to Section 4-36-9 NMSA 1978. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
