Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 433

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 2, lines 5 through 9, remove the brackets and line-through.

2. On page 2, line 6, after "program" insert "and shall provide, by July 1, 2001, for electronic or other notification satisfactory to the division of a vehicle's compliance with the vehicle emission inspection and maintenance program or shall provide payment to the division sufficient to pay the division the costs of electronic or other notification satisfactory to the division".

3. On pages 2 through 4, strike Section 2 in its entirety.

4. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.

5. On pages 4 and 5, remove the brackets and line-through.

6. On page 4, line 13, after "COUNTIES" insert a dash.

7. On page 4, line 22, strike ", and the" and insert in lieu thereof:

"and that provides, by July 1, 2001, for electronic, or other notification satisfactory to the division, of a vehicle's compliance with the vehicle emission inspection and maintenance program or provides payment to the division sufficient to pay the division the costs of electronic, or other notification satisfactory to the division. The".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
