FOR THE WELFARE REFORM OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE

AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT SERVICES FOR NEW MEXICO WORKS ACT PARTICIPANTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of providing substance abuse and mental health treatment services to participants as provided in the New Mexico Works Act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
