MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SUPPORT AN EDUCATION AND HIGH TECHNOLOGY WORK FORCE INITIATIVE WITH THE NATIONAL ATMOSPHERIC AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION AND WHITE SANDS TEST FACILITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to support students participating in an education and high technology work force initiative with the national atmospheric and space administration and White Sands test facility. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
