AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE ONATE HIGH SCHOOL SAFETY PROGRAM IN DONA ANA COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to purchase equipment and develop and present curriculum on school safety at the Onate high school on the east mesa in Dona Ana county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
