Mr. Speaker:

Your APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILLS 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 136, line 13, strike "38,191.5", and insert in lieu thereof "38,684.3".

2. On page 173, line 16, after "for" insert "expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for".

3. On page 173, line 17, after the comma insert:

"for new vehicles, maintenance of vehicles and overtime costs. Expenditures for additional commissioned state police officers are".

4. On page 173, line 20, strike "on" and insert in lieu thereof "by".

5. On page 173, line 20, after the period strike the remainder of the line, strike all of line 21 and insert in lieu thereof:

"Expenditures for the other items are contingent upon certification by the chief of the state police to the department of finance and administration and the legislative finance committee that the additional funds are needed to support the fiscal year 2001 expenditures for these items.".

6. On page 186, line 3, strike "seventy-five one hundredths" and insert in lieu thereof "one quarter".

7. On page 186, line 12, strike "one" and insert in lieu thereof "two".

8. Adjust all totals and subtotals accordingly.
