Mr. President:

   Your TAX, BUSINESS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 241

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 7, strike lines 18 and 19 and on line 20, strike "system" and insert in lieu thereof "deposited in the highway construction zone automated speed enforcement fund".

    2. On page 7, between lines 20 and 21, insert:

    "SECTION 7. [NEW MATERIAL] HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION ZONE AUTOMATED SPEED ENFORCEMENT FUND.--The "highway construction zone automated speed enforcement fund" is created as a nonreverting fund in the state treasury. The fund consists of distributions, appropriations, gifts, grants and donations. Money in the fund is appropriated to the department for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of the Highway Construction Zone Automated Speed Enforcement Act. The fund shall be administered by the bureau for the purpose of implementing the provisions of the Highway Construction Zone Automated Speed Enforcement Act. Disbursements from the fund shall be made by warrant of the secretary of finance and administration pursuant to vouchers signed by the secretary of transportation or the secretary's designee.".

    3. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
