SENATE BILL 5
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 2, strike Section 1.
2. On page 3, line 20, after the subsection designation "A.", strike the remainder of the line and strike line 21 through "there" and insert in lieu thereof "There".
3. On page 6, line 16, strike "11" and insert in lieu thereof "10".
4. On page 7, line 10, after "action", insert "in district court".
5. On page 7, line 15, after "action", insert "in district court".
6. On page 7, strike lines 18 through 21.
7. On page 13, line 4, strike "shall" and insert in lieu thereof "may".
8. On page 24, strike Sections 12 and 13 and insert in lieu thereof:
"SECTION 11. REPEAL.--Sections 17-1-17 and 17-2-2 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1964 (1st S.S.), Chapter 18, Section 2 and Laws 1937, Chapter 23, Section 1) are repealed.
SECTION 12. EFFECTIVE DATES.--
A. The effective date of the provisions of Sections
1, 4 through 7, 9 and 11 of this act is July 1, 2026.
B. The effective date of the provisions of Sections
2, 3 and 10 of this act is January 1, 2027.
C. The effective date of the provisions of Section
8 of this act is April 1, 2026.".
9. Renumber the sections to conform to these amendments.
and thence referred to the CONSERVATION COMMITTEE.
