    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

 

HOUSE BILL 157

 

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

 

1. On page 16, line 3, strike "2028" and insert in lieu

thereof "2029".

 

     2. On page 16, line 7, strike "2028" and insert in lieu

thereof "2029".

 

     3. On page 22, line 24, strike the closing quotation mark and between lines 24 and 25, insert the following new subsection:

 

          "C. The department may grant a superintendent license to an out-of-state candidate who does not meet the other requirements and qualifications of that license if the candidate:

 

                (1) has a standard, valid, unencumbered school

administrator license from another state;

 

                (2) has worked as a superintendent for at least three years;

 

                (3) is enrolled in a department-approved

superintendent induction program; and

 

                (4) meets other requirements of the department."".

 

     4. On page 26, line 10, strike "2026" and insert in lieu

thereof "2027".

 

     5. On page 27, line 1, strike "2026" and insert in lieu

thereof "2027".

 

     6. On page 27, line 25, strike "2028" and insert in lieu

thereof "2029"., 

 

and thence referred to the GOVERNMENT, ELECTIONS AND INDIAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE.
