AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PURCHASE THE NORTHEAST NEW MEXICO CORRECTIONAL FACILITY LOCATED IN UNION COUNTY OWNED BY THE TOWN OF CLAYTON.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty-four million dollars ($54,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the facilities management division of the general services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2025 to purchase tuh-ih. ouhe northeast New Mexico correctional facility located in Union county and owned by the town of Clayton for a price equal to the appraised value of the facility. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2025 shall revert to the general fund.
